After several exciting UI updates last week, Socrates is breaking new ground in terms of functionality this week! These updates aim to enhance the onboarding process, making it even easier for everyone to harness the power of Socrates. Let’s dive into the highlights of this week’s updates and see what exciting improvements await!
Socrates launch on iOS
To kick things off, following the introduction of the web and Android versions in September, we are thrilled to announce the official launch of Socrates on iOS! iPhone users can now seamlessly access our platform anytime, anywhere, making engaging in deep debate and discussion a breeze. Expanded question length
The character limit for creating questions has been extended to 140 characters. This allows users to express their questions more comprehensively and in greater detail, reducing the risk of information loss due to character constraints. If you missed our guide on creating popular questions, check out this article. Remember, question creators have the privilege of sharing the prize pool! Start brainstorming your questions now!
Multi-chain support
Last but certainly not least, the highly anticipated multi-chain support is now live! You can now register your Socrates account with wallets from Polygon and Ethereum Mainnet and BNB Smart Chain . In the future, we are going to support Arbitrum One, and Optimism too. Alternatively, you can register with an email and later link to any of the mentioned wallets. Once a chain is selected, all deposits and withdrawals must be completed on that chain, and switching between chains is not possible. In other words, existing users who have already onboarded with the Polygon chain can’t switch to other chains. However, they are more than welcome to use another wallet to create another Socrates account.
This enhancement simplifies the onboarding process for users across different wallets, fostering an effortless journey for individuals looking to join the Socrates community. The seamless integration with various chains not only streamlines the experience but also aligns perfectly with the decentralised nature of web3 technology.
Please note that different wallets will consume different gas fees, as outlined below:
Therefore, remember to fund USDT (for buying points or minting an Pioneer Pen) and the respective cryptocurrencies in your wallet depending on the network you picked.
