As the anticipation of unwrapping a holiday present brings smiles to faces this December, we’re delighted to introduce a special “bonus package” feature on the Socrates platform. The bonus package empowers users to provide extra incentives whilst the question is live, encouraging more user participation and amplifying the volume of the prize pool.
Who can create bonus packages?
Our upgraded platform is designed to cultivate a sense of connection and generosity amongst users. Thus, we allow every user (whether the question creator or participant) to create a bonus package associated with a question.
When crafting a question, the creator now has the ability to include a linked bonus package, enhancing the interactive experience. However, those participating in questions can also add a bonus package to that question. They can do this at any point whilst the question is active, providing the question has not already had a bonus package linked; only one bonus package can be linked to a given question. The creator of the bonus package is responsible for specifying the number of recipients and the amount that each recipient can claim. This feature is strategically designed to incentivise more users to participate, contributing to the growth of the prize pool. If no users claim the bonus package once the question ends, the allocated points will revert to the creator.
How many types of bonus package are there?
There are two types of bonus packages on our platform: a ‘common bonus package’, which distributes rewards evenly amongst eligible users, and a ‘random bonus package’, which allocates rewards randomly to qualified participants. This dual approach caters to diverse user preferences, with the common bonus package promoting fair distribution and fostering inclusivity, and the random bonus package injecting an element of excitement and unpredictability.
In addition to the type of bonus package, the bonus package creator can set claim conditions. If set to ‘conditional, the bonus will be distributed when the number of receivers reaches the predetermined value. Alternatively, a ‘real-time’ bonus package is distributed to eligible users in real-time upon claiming.
Who and how can users claim the bonus package?
All question voters have the opportunity to claim the bonus package! However, the number of recipients for each bonus package is limited. Therefore, it’s crucial to keep an eye on questions featuring bonus packages. When you spot one, cast your vote quickly! Once you’ve voted, simply click the “Claim bonus package” button to secure the bonus package.
In the menu, you can access the bonus package page, providing an overview of the bonus packages you’ve created and those you’ve claimed. So, don’t miss out — stay vigilant for questions with bonus packages and cast your vote!
